XBOX Live keep getting disconnected

Over the last few days I keep getting randomly disconnected from Xbox LIve when playing Black OPS 2, this is now happening so often I'm on probation and keep getting blocked from palying.
I'm with Virgin Media and use an ethernet cable.
Any one got any ideas that will stop this happening?

It is most likely Virgin's current trick of massively oversubscribing areas until their network can't cope. During peak times it is virtually unusable in some areas. You could try having a look on their forum to see if anyone else has complained about it near you - http://community.virginmedia.com/
It's worth going to thinkbroadband.com and setting up a ping monitor so you can see when your connection is being degraded by congestion. You need to enable ping responses in the superhub settings for it to work. Here is what my connection looks like most sundays at the moment:
The blue line is average ping time, and the red parts indicate packet loss. The more red, the worse the connection is. If your graph ends up looking even a bit like that, then anything that relies on latency or consistent data flow will be unusable - gaming, VOIP, video calling, streaming video like Youtube or Netflix etc.
