Which to go for...

I'm a relative noob to PS3 (getting back into games after an approx 10 year hiatus!) but I'm on a steep catch-up curve and expanding my collection of racing games faster than my son can score past my on FIFA (and trust me... it doesn't take him long!).

What's everyone playing on here and can anyone share any cheeky in-game short-cuts (no pun intended)? I'm a fan of both your more realistic sims and arcade-style racers so no real preference. Just keen to make sure I'm not missing a trick as the collection expands! Oh, and start getting one over on my increasingly smug son who really should be making me look THIS bad!

I'm also an iPad toting racer too. Is there life beyond Real Racing?

GT5 is worth a punt, the arcade mode is arcady and even GT mode isn't exactly hardcore.
