With the upcoming launch of BF4 who is looking to pre-order and bag a bonus of "free" premimum content (that will be given away at a later date just after you buy the premium pack)?

I have spent the last 16 months playing BF33 way too much but at a cost of £55 for the pre-order thats a bit rich for me, considering the initial map pack that will come out at around £20 which will then be bundled in the later to follow premium pack at £40 I just don't see me jumping on to it any time soon.

Likewise, though I'll probably buy premium this time, given that I'm likely to buy all the DLC again.
Loving the username BTW.

Don't think my PC will run it! Plus given the substandard quality of BF3, I'd rather they released the gamma version before bringing out the alpha test of BF4. wink

I will buy it but I have clocked up such an alarming amount of time on BF3 that BF4 is going to have to be a massive step forward.

I fear, as they did with BF3, they will resort to pandering to the CoD market with constant nerfs to guns which removes the realism. The recent maps have been epic and yet I have found myself going back to the original 4 for absolute entertainment as they were designed for all classes to be able to maximise their potential.

Armoured Kill was a real let down, the thought of 4 choppers each, 8 planes, loads of tanks was in reality the same number of vehicles but if you don't grab one quick you have an epic map to run over (Love the harvest day type map though)

I'd like to see vehicles to have limited ammo, just as you have with your hand held weapons. If you need more ammo you have to fly back to base and reload like a pit stop. No unlimited ecm/flares/guns/missiles, likewise for tanks and jeeps.

I will buy it eventually but I would rather they waited rather than try to cash in so quickly, they've missed a great op for a Bad Company which typically are the much better games to play (entertainment wise) and £54 for a pre-order, they are having a laugh.

(would laugh if you buy the pre-order for them to then say ah its Xbox720 or DX16 compatible cards only)

You had to do similar with BF2 ISTR? Guess they changed it for consoles.

From BC2 and BF3 you have unlimited ammo for vehicles on all platforms. Introducing fuel loads would be nice too, so you can add fuel tanks or ammo...

Oh, right. Not played BC2. Went from BF2 to BF3. I remember having to do fly-bys to fix your plane and get your missiles and stuff back.

Just watched the trailer (which has been out for a while I guess) and it has me 100% sold that I must have this new release.

I can't see why. Please point out what makes it better than BF3? (We're talking about the one where they crash into the sea?)

Fair enough. Seems a bit one dimensional; BF has always excelled in the multiplayer side whilst their single player mode seemed tedious and something I'd do when I didn't have internet connectivity.

Perhaps you should stick to single player mode then wink

I`ll be getting BF4, no doubt about it.

Totally agree about the ammo for vehicles although having a support bod dropping ammo would be good for tanks etc. I hope they have the SAMs sorted this time as it is almost impossible to shoot anything down when they have flares etc and the damage of the Stinger etc has been nerfed so you need about 3 to down a chopper.

Spent an hour trying to shoot 1 chopper down today. Failed might I add.

I'll be getting it on release. Been playing the bf series since 1942 and still not played a bad one!

They had the weapon balance perfect then the CoD users came over and cried like PS3 owners when EA jumped ship to MS so they nerfed (I picked that phrase up through BF3) them. How can a 50 cal from a tank not rip a soldier in one or two hits? Or how about the gun on the Humvee's taking about 200 shots to kill someone, a sniper rifle cannot kill a jeep driver but a random grenade seemingly can?

Still a great game!
