What controls for flight sims?

I'm getting back into flight sims again, and now that I'm an actual pilot I want to be able to use the rudder functions properly. It seems I have a choice - buy a new joystick with a twist function, or buy some rudder pedals to augment my existing Logitech ATK 3 joystick. Are there any pros/cons to either choice?

Thanks, do you have any recommendations on pedals that dont cost the earth?

If you have a stick your happy with then go with some new pedals. I use my Logitech Driving Force GT pedals!
