Anyone use a driving force GT?
Discussion
Well I thought it was a flimsy one but after reading some reviews, and watching some videos, they have really good reputation and look to be really stable. Surprised a stand that doesn't look to have much support can withstand such a beating!
And going by your username and location, I think your the guy im coming to see tomorrow?
Hope I've not offended you with the flimsy comment haha! Should have done my research before posting!

The internals of the wheel is the same as the G25, the pedals arn't as solid as the G25s nor do you get the manual box but other than that its a good wheel
If only.Apart from the lack of manual 'box, the main difference between the Driving Force GT (and its preceding Driving Force Pro) and the G25/G27 is the feedback motors. The DF 'wheels resist quick movements quite harshly, which can make it a right pain winding off opposite lock in a hurry. I imagine for most it's no problem at all, and I still use a DFP and don't honestly feel it slows me down, but it's a bit of a pain. You get much more resistance than you should, and a loud screaming sort of sound from the motors. Admittedly the GT is an improvement on the Pro, perhaps even a halfway house in this respect!
The apparent motor abuse doesn't wear 'em out - mine has survived years of it admirably
- but a key consideration between the two. I've used a G27 many times and it's a beautifully weighted thing, with really good pedals and particularly the firmness of the brake pedal is nice, but I just find it easier to drive outside the limit with.As I say though, I doubt it would be a sticking point for many people, and for £75 a DFGT is a good buy!
