Loved 1-3. Didn't like 4 at-all. Gave it a good chance but a couple of things completely ruined the experience for me:

1. The connections? Seriously, Halo 3 was the best online experience I've had, fast, fast connections, pretty fast matchmaking, Halo 4 was the complete opposite, often very very laggy/unplayable.
2. Although I pre-ordered the game, apparently something in Belgium went wrong as we were in the level cap of 70. Really? So they wanted to reward pre-orders, but not only they "punish" people who pay just as much for the game, but they actually cripple the gaming experience for people who got the game on launch day in their own country?

So for me, it's a total no-no.

After the last one, I'm not so excited. Sure, I still did a legendary run solo, so it wasn't that bad, but the Promeatheans were so irritating and dull to fight, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they don't come back. But I suspect they will.

Fantastic, I found 4 much better than the previous 2 games and on par with Halo 3. Main problem with gameplay in 4 was no dual wielding and the fact if you play Big Team everyone repeatedly picked exile although that doesn't happen so much now. I can't see there ever being a better one than Halo 2 though.

Just finished halo 4. found it brilliant story wise.

If you hop onto youtube there are some videos alluding to the story of 5. Would appear the flood will be back with an old enemy trying to make good and helping you out. (the massive dude in the trailor Mendicant bias)

I was late to the Halo franchise so Halo 3 was my first game on the xbox 360

All the games since have been 'okay' until Halo 4 which IMO was very good.

Looking forward to playing Halo 5 campaign with my son
