Discussion
Race night will be on either 29th, 30th or 31st of this month, lobby will open @9pm with qualifying starting 9:15pm.
Track: Suzuka full
Qualifying: 3 laps
Race: 28 laps (approx 60mins depending how many pit stops you take)
Lobby will be set for full damage, NO TRACTION or STABILITY CONTROL but all other assists will be allowed.
For obvious reasons clean racing is essential!
The car will be the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Cosworth with the following build:
Sport camshaft
Race brake
Race springs
Race front and rear anti-roll bars
Race rollcage
Sport weight reduction
Race transmission
Race differential
Drag tyres
Front and rear tyres maximum width
Wheels Zenden Turbo 2
Rim size 18" front and rear
Aero Forza race front
After fitting that lot you should end up with:
PI B473
Power 259bhp
Weight 2857lbs
Speed 5.1
Handling 6.0
Acceleration 6.3
Launch 4.8
Braking 6.3
Once you've built your car you can tune it as you see fit. I've stuck a free tune on my storefront (whats left of it) for anyone to download to try and to use as a bench mark!
There are no set pit stops in this race as the wear of your tyres will determine when you have to pit so its definitely worth spending time practising. Your tyre wear rate will depend on your driving style and how you've set your car up.
ONLY 9 OR 10 PLACES AVAILABLE FOR THIS RACE. Post on here or message me EVILHOMER40 via xbox.
Not going to offer any prizes this time as i'm still waiting for people to msg me after the last races!

Had a quick go with Andy's tune last night... Really consistent 2.26/2.27 clean laps until it felt like the front tyres had fallen off.....Won't say what lap I got to before needing to stop - will just say one stopping could be a challenge...
Andy - nice easy tune to drive, felt it could do with a bit of extra rear brake bias which might help the front wear a tad??

Erm, unfortunately the brake bias is already to the rear by as much as I feel comfortable regarding stability under braking. I did various tunes before I hit that one and the front tyre wear was always higher than the rear. One tip for anyone tuning their own car, be careful what you do with your aero!

Spent some time working with the car tonight and have decided to attempt to use my own tune. Seems ok with tyre wear though as said before I do not think a 1 stop will be possible. Can only seem to do so much to reduce front tyre wear before the car becomes proper unstable. So I think I have it as good as I can.
Put my tune on my storefront if any one wishes to try it, GreatCornholio's tune is most likely much better though lol.
Just have to paint my car now, as it currently looks a bit plain...
