So....GRID 2, Love it or Hate it?

Friend who isnt a race game fan bought a haswell CPU a few days back and gave me his free GRID 2 code he got with it (which was nice)

Have to say i am really enjoying it as a racing game in general and the PC version looks fantastic.....BUT

It seems to have lost alot of the realism that they tried to inject into the first one i think, obviously it was not iRacing / Project CARS in the first place but it still feels a little "dumbed down"

Just wondering what everyone else thought

It's way too drifty, car handling isn't very realistic.

Started replaying it last night, going to complete it ASAP and then eBay it.

Love it. ONline with a lot of people this is fantastic. The handling is wonderful allowing proper adjustement of the car on the limit , its hugely satisfying to get a corner just right. Engine noises are brilliant too. True, graphics not as impressive as dirt 3 , F1 or Gt5, but much more fun

I was looking forward to this game for ages, pre-ordered it.

I thought the car handling was far too "arcade" and I'm very disappointed with it.

I will try to sell it on Ebay.

Not as good as the first, I was hoping for a lot more track racing than the road racing that is in the game. I agree with other previous posters about it being to "drifty" its way too OTT, I would take any kind of decent sim over a game like Grid 2

Its okay with some odd difficulty characteristics. Something/races are so easy to complete then others are tough as nails. Hate the bug where you are way in front and lap a car only to be put into 12th position. Man thats a damned annoying bug. Loved the first one, it raised the bar. This was no bar raising title but fun enough.
