I've pre ordered 2 on the hope of making some quick cash on the spare. This is good news.

We'll see.....

It's probably true, but could they be trying to further drive demand by inventing scarcity?

Microsoft are apparently doing just that, telling shops that they'll only be given 100 of the day-one XBones, then allocating them more stock once those 100 have been pre-ordered.

What is your source for that info? As no one in retail knows their allocation of the day one or standard XBone.

MS haven't even released the cost pricing to retail yet let alone the allocations.

Not a concrete source, just one of the guys on the Eurogamer forums claiming to work at a GAME store, so I'd not bank any money on the legitimacy of it.

Rubbish. This is why I would never go anywhere near game.

Didn't they take note of the date people ordered ?

Wouldn't it be fair for them to just hold the 150 machines for the first 150 orders.

If I was one of the first to pre order and I turned up on launch day to find they had given my pre ordered machine away at midnight to someone who may have ordered months later I would go ballistic.

I'll just do what I always do. Wait 6-12 months after release then buy it cheaper and more reliable than the launch model.

You'll miss out on playing the 3 launch titles that will probably cost £50+ each.

Not playing PS3 games on it, as they won't work, whilst payng for PSN so you can go online.

Still, Shiny.

Oooooooooooo, shiny, silly.

I was talking to the manager to, he said if u don't think your make it for 12am come on a week before and talk to him and he put a note on one of the boxs saying save. I'm just going to pop down about 10pm and if its not to bad stay but if its way to busy already I got down in morning about 8am. If they don't have my ps4 I will be going fkING nuts!!

My game store manager said he'd be marking the boxes in order of your pre order queue. I've ordered it miles away from me near my parents home so I won't be able to pop out of work to pick it up!
