Hi all,
only 8 places available again so register your interest below please!

The cars will be any R3 from GT2 and GT3 body family. Please don't ask me to list them cos there are too many! Easiest way to work out which they are is to set up a lobby and in the options set class to R3 on the first screen then move along to the final screen (restrictions i think) and select GT2 or GT3 in the body family option. Press A for YES then look at which cars are available to buy and use!

Tuning restrictions

You may add any handling parts you wish but NO ENGINE UPGRADES ALLOWED. The only MANDATORY upgrade is swapping race tyres for drag tyres of max width. As for the tuning set-up, go nuts!

For this race I'll allow traction control to be used as I'll be using it. Also, because of the extremely high wear rates on drag tyres on these cars the lobby will be set to LIMITED DAMAGE instead of the usual full damage.

Preliminary dates are for Saturday 31st August or Saturday 7th September with the lobby starting between 9 and 10pm depending what feedback i get from people.

Le Mans Le Sarthe track

2 laps qualifying followed by 2hrs 30mins timed race with an awful lot of pitstops!

The winner will be the racer who has completed the most miles at the 2hr 30min end of race timer.

Gotta admit that the 2 cars I've narrowed it down to were chose n as much for the noise as anything else!

I wonder if anyone will try the Flat 6 option???

I should be available to this. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference T/C will make to tyre wear, if its too much I will have to turn it on : (

Same here, tried the dodge viper which can be used last night, handles surprisingly very well out of the box.
Though the gear ratios need serious tinkering! Going into 6th near stalls it lol.

Ha ha! That's been an issue with in-game Vipers since Gran Turismo 1!

Doubt I'll be about for this so not stuck my name down but had a little practice just in case....

Tried a couple of cars for a couple of laps - both had 15% tyre wear a lap... And was managing a clean 4.06 but don't know how bad the tyres drop off...

For 2 and a half hours you need something to keep you interested and on the ball, for me that's a thumping great V8 biggrin

I may have changed my mind for another but I will have a play with a few others over the weekend and see what can be done with them on these tyres.
