Having problems with XBOX 360. Basically it was showing signs of overheating, IE freezing, or shutting down with 2 flashing lights. but the thing was, it was not overheating, as was doing this after a very short space of turning on.
Now it won't fire up at all, even from complete cold(intact it hasn't been turned on for a few months now) its just doing the 2 red lights.
Im guessing this must be some sort of Temp gauge failure?? is there a way to disable it?
or any other advice?
Cheers

From past experience with PCs, a GPU or CPU chip that is not being cooled sufficiently will overheat in seconds.
There can be a number of reasons for this overheating, most covered in this forum (2nd post).

k it and went out and bought a PS3 and GT5, and hitman
Think I may have to upgrade the 12gb memory thought as didn't realise you have to upload the whole game onto the HDD, rather than play of CD, just GT5 on its own has almost taken up half!
