Spartacus: Legends
Discussion
Saw this at the weekend pop up on the PS Store as a free download so thought why not.
If you liked the button pressing combo fighting games then youll like this, except its done with weapons and theres no 'sonic boom' type of powers.
You dont have to spend money on it as such but i get the feeling that you need to in order to progress past a few levels - one of them, 3/5 brutality/skill rating and the cpu player is at a rank 150+, while your gladiator is level 69.
You can however play online for free against someone of similar skill level so its not all bad.
Anyone else playing it?

I too downloaded this the other day. Its a fairly basic game but I did spend a whole day on it! It really is good fun and gives you a nice rewarding feeling.
So far my best fight was against a sword and shield opponent, they had not lost a game and they were 2 levels above me. I just wailed at him with daggers and killed him lol.
There does seem to be a balance issue with the daggers they just feel a little too OP.

Have you caved in a purchased the extra gold - i ended up doing so as my guys just kept seeming to be battered by higher levels in both on/offline. Only spent the £4 so far but its been 'worthwhile'.So far my best fight was against a sword and shield opponent, they had not lost a game and they were 2 levels above me. Have had quite a few good figths and have had some shocking ones as well - 1 i was dominating then i started to f
k around and he b
h slapped me lol. Most memorable and one i won was fighting bare handed against someone and decimated them, thought id try it again and got smacked down.Though i agree with the double daggers blokes being rather handy. The double handed sword and hammer arent all that unfortunately though i guess youve got to master each style.
Have you thought any of the 'bosses' yet?
Also, rather annoys me that if you want to revive your person after death, youve got to pay gold, yet you hardly win any gold
