My experience of getting games on release from amazon is bad. Always been later than promised. Their price is cheaper though

This is precisely what I've found.

If you want games on (or a couple of days before) the release date, Simply Games or shopto.net can't be beaten. You do, however, pay slightly more for the privilege.

I've a pre-order in with Amazon and Game.

Plan is take wife out for lunch on Monday as its her birthday. Take kids to school Tuesday, go to Game, pick up pre-order there.

Get home - has amazon delivered? unlikely, since we've move their deliveries have been very bad. Got prime membership and ordered a recorder for the eldest on Friday, delivered Monday at 6PM.

Both copies should be the same so will return the amazon one to Game I think..
