Usually buy every new FIFA but these prices are getting ridiculous. I suppose that's how they do it as they know that people like me will continue to buy every year.

That was at Tescos if anyone's wondering.

I imagine that was for the game plus the season ticket which gave you early access and 24 FUT gold packs.

I was initially impressed at just how much different the game feels from 13. It certainly didn't feel like they just updated the squads and really released the game (especially given the fear that all of the game's development time could have been spent on the next Gen version's game engine) but it was disapointinting to figure out this year crossing into the box and meeting it with a header is unplayable within a few hours of game play.

Why is the game always bias to a certain type of shot?! 12 it was finesse, 13 was lob through pass and long shot and this year crossing.

We have this which came free in 360 bundle today, put it on ebay brand new and unopened as we don't like football games, there are a lot on there actually so probably not the only people in that position!

Probably for the best.

I didn't really like football games (Played them VERY sparingly as a child just because my friends did). Got FIFA 12 to see what the fuss was about and now I'm close to being a football addict. I now spend far more time doing football related things than car related things frown

Got it yesterday and played it for about an hour.

Impressed with the game play and how different it does feel from 13

However, started a career and quite at least 2 teams have the wrong players. Spurs still have Bale and Arsenal don't have Ozil.

'Be A Pro' - yes it's there, you have 2 separate ones for Online and Offline. You can create your offline one and use him in career mode, you can also do that and only control that one player during career matches instead of the whole team.

I like the changes to Ultimate Team and now 10 online divisions, which makes getting up there very hard, but the coin and pack rewards up there should be amazing.

Enjoying the physical part of the gameplay, but defending AI is terrible and they often make glaring mistakes (this being Boateng, FC Bayern, not a 70 rated nobody), such as not challenging headers, stepping out from defence instead of covering.

Finesse shots, headers and crossing are the overpowered elements playing online. One game I conceded 4 headers, 3 from Andy Carroll and one from Walcott out muscling my 6'6 centre back...

I'm not into fotball at all. I know what offside is and that's about it. wink

I received the game free with the Xbox One. It's a good laugh for banter, but I'd actually like to get good at it.

I've tried the skill games and can pass bronze, silver and gold, but I stumble at the end test. Mainly because it forces manual mode I guess. Is practice, followed by practice the only way to get good? Most of my friends love their football and have a greater understanding of the flow of the game. Which I think is my first hurdle.

I win at driving games as they have no interest in the racing line, braking points etc and it seems like I have the same problem with football games.

yeah you will get it mate, just keep playing games, with your mates etc, and eventually youll pick it up, like using the left trigger or L2 alot helps, makes your touch better , keeps your shots lower, and your passes more accurate, stand off on defenders and sometimes using the x or a button helps with defending, it draws you to the attacking player

HOWEVER.... on a side note they have completely removed online team play in FUT and seaosn with the next gen fifa.....I mean seriously, have EA spent most of there days having loads of crack pipes with each other, what a strange thing to remove??!! me and my mates used to play that all the time, and its so rewarding aswell
EA push there luck constantly with these games, they need to start making these games for the player, not their pockets

Has anybody got this on PS4? If so can you do me a favour, when I go into the video calibration settings in the menu's and try to adjust the brightness nothing seems to happen. I presume it's L2 to lower the brightness and R2 to raise it but I don't know for sure as nothing seems to change no matter what I press! The default seems too dark.

Diagonal lobbed through ball. Left bumper (L1) and Y (Triangle) and aim to the opposite side of the pitch. Disgusting how 'overpowered' the lobbed through ball is this year.

Does anyone know how to leave the ball run through the receiving player? It used to be L2 and R2 on 13 (PS3). It doesn't seem to work the same on the x bone despite everything else being the same?!?

I haven't got mine on the XBOne yet but I'm presuming it'll be RB iirc that's what it has always been on XB.
