Playseat Simulator with Logitech and XBox360

I've plugged my race simulator into a new XBox360. The Logitech G27 turns and does its self test, but why can't I get Forza4 to work with the sim. It works with the handset but won't start the game with my Playseat/Logitech simulator. Not very good with tech, so can someone tell me in laymans terms what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks.

The self test means the wheel has power.
Is the usb cable plugged in ?

Yep, into the back of the XBox.

I don't think the G27 is compatible with the Xbox360, you need an adaptor.

But, i believe someone has created a box somewhere on the internet which allows its use, search on Google, i definately remember it, one of the annoying things i had with Xbox not being able to use my G25.
