Where to pre-order Xbox One for Day 1 delivery?

I know I've totally missed the boat on this one, but if anyone has any tips on places to order at this late stage then that'd be ace.

Everywhere seems to be sold out of the Day One consoles with the bundled games (Fifa or Forza) and are only guaranteeing you'll get a console by Christmas now. Amazon still have the solus console for sale, which doesn't include any games, but they are still stating they'll get it to you by the 22nd of November.

Your best bet is probably to go into a larger store on the 22nd and try to pick one up off the shelf, stores will probably keep some of their allocation aside to put out on launch day.

I'm still not 100% sure what I'm doing with my pre-order yet, Forza looks very pretty, but usually bores me to tears, so I'm waiting to see what the review for Dead Rising 3 is like before I decide whether I'm keeping it or not.

Why, because the PS4 pre-order farce will start and the Xbone availability may increase ....I can but hope

More because the Xbox isn't out until the 22nd and there's not likely to be any on the shelves on the 15th.

Shopto are a fantastic company, always great on price and if you order by 5:20pm it'll be in you mailbox the next day, I buy all my games from them.

I pre-ordered the console from Game though because they had the bundles up earlier than Shopto and I wanted the one with a free copy of FIFA14.

I think Shopto are still offering delivery for Day One, but you'll get a standard console not a special "Day One Edition".

Oh it looks like Shopto are now only guaranteeing for delivery before Xmas, maybe try Game. Sorry about that, but Shopto is still a useful site to know of when ordering games.

On Shopto and I have pre ordered an Xbox 1 and have put in my card details etc, but it took a while before it seemed to register I had done that and kept asking for my card details again.

Now I have the pre-order up, but it gives me options to pay by card or pay by paypal.

Do I need to do this or will it take the cash out of my card on the day its sent.

I just got a bit confused as it didn't make it clear if my card details had been saved for suture billing?

Edit: seems everywhere is now guarantee for xmas, and TBH I can wait just happy to know if I am getting a pre order sent to me at some point would be good

I tend to do everything through paypal with them (just because its easier to enter 1 password than all your details) but I'd imagine they'll take the money out a couple of days before dispatch, thats what game are doing and its pretty standard practice for all pre-orders.

The only Shopto do is if you pre-order a game through paypal you have to pay for it there and then rather than waiting until a few days before release.

Also the wait until Xmas isn't that substantial really, its a maximum of about 25-26 days really as I doubt they'd risk sending it christmas week due to the post being mental. so you might have to wait until early December

Yeah that's the plan, Forza Trailer sold it for me, and Halo 5 will need to be bought and I will sulk at not having an XB1 if I didn't buy one.

My main worry was that I thought I was buying 3 of them but realised my details hadn't been remembered so now have pre-order showing on shopto.

Now to go to Game and ask if I can have my £25 pre order deposit as store credit so I can get Forza 5 and Ghosts to play


excited now...but giant lego star destroyer project and rewatching all of 24 will keep me going till then

Aha! still one step ahead there (although it was inadvertent) I was talking to mrs about the console and she said well if you get the lego and the console you need to put all of your xmas bonus into savings, you can't use £200 of it for a treat as you have had 2 big things.

Fair enough, I was going to use the £200 for the technic crane but I got the star destroyer instead.

Also doing 3 weekends overtime in the workshop so making some decent pennies so she is happy.

However yes if I had not claimed I could 'save' £200 by buying the console early I don't think it would have washed with her lol.

My plan is to buy games on the 29th when I get paid and await the delivery of the XB1.

I can but hope it arrives around week 2 in December as guaranteeing xmas delivery you would hope the retailers would be looking to get stuff out before the usual royal mail mental period.

ShopTo are processing card payments on the 9th for the Xbox One, got an email from them yesterday confirming this although I have already paid for it to prevent the inevitable card processing problems that always seem to occur.
