Has anyone else had the email from Microsoft confirming they're being gifted all the characters in the new Killer Instinct game? I've just checked and I've got my email! I love a freebie. Anyone else?

Yeah I got it yesterday, think they're going around to lots of people over the next few days. Have approximately zero interest in the game though, so it's not going to influence my purchasing decision one way or another.

I've had nothing so far, but I do wonder on the criteria. I've made day one purchases of the Xbox, Xbox 360, and have a Day One edition on pre-order, but my Gamerscore is only 35k and I only subscribe to XBL Gold in fits and starts, a few months here and there when something interesting comes out.

I got the email telling me I'd been gifted an unlock of all the characters, but if this game is a full price release for the Xbox One I doubt I'll bother picking it up as I tend to find 2D fighters other than Mortal Kombat quite dull.

You pay per character, so you won't have to pay anything extra. It's quite similar to mortal kombat, with fatalities and so on.

Everyone gets a free copy of the game with one character... Then you pay for any more characters.

Although if you have won in this case, you get all the characters free. I might not have bothered otherwise, so this is a nice touch.
