Anyone know anything about Steam?
Discussion
For some reason on Football Manager I have to have a "steam" account.
So, when I went to play it the other day after a long break, I went to open the game and....
"Could not connect to Steam networrk
This could be due to a problem with your internet connection, or with the steam netwrork. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info"
But I can't do anything else, assuming the log on is correct but not getting options to check / change the password.
When I go to steampowered.com I have to create another account and post a question. Which, after two days, hasn't been answered. Really p
d off that an account I never wanted can prevent me playing a game that I want to play, seemingly due to their issues.
Any suggestions?

I have a physical copy of the game which I installed many months ago and played successfully. (With associated Steam account)
When I went to steampowered.com I couldn't log on with the details I'd used to set up a steam account in order to get help, so had to set up another steam account for their forums or whatever bo****ks they do.
Steam may be great for lots of things but if I just want to play the one game I have on the Mac it seems an unnecessary hinderance.
