PS4 - What are my chances?

I didn't pre-order. In fact I am not sure if I really want to bother as I should wait until there are more games for it, but I am not a patient person.

Sooo, what are my chances of getting a PS4 from a store boxing day or so ?

Slim to none I'd guess, which is rather annoying, as Amazon lost my release day preorder (ordered in June), and getting a replacement sent out might not happen this year.

game are selling one, but in a huge bundle, for £800 odd.

also saw a few in CEX, think they sell a vanilla ps4 for £500.

i got one from john lewis midnight friday and collected saturday and wife picked one up in sainsburys. so they are out there, just not very many.

I know a couple of people who did not pre order and were able to pick one up from Argos on Saturday.

They also got a few Xbox ones in on Saturday, but they went quick too.

Would be useful if you guys could say where you just walked in off the street and picked one up. It seems there are none in Yorkshire

Yup, I am in Suffolk. Just checked the Argos website, nothing in stock (yet). Along with Tesco/ASDA/Sainsburys.

Still, I am keeping my eyes peeled for those pigs!

Costco are getting more stock on December 5th, so I was told be a member of staff.

I popped to my local Smyths toy store ( http://www.smythstoys.com/ ) last night to see how long their pre order list was. The chap in the store said there was about 13 people on it and that they are expecting to receive about 10 consoles a week for stock up to Xmas. He said I would be surprised if you didn't get one before xmas and I would expect you to be playing next weekend all being well.

It seems Smyths is an official stock-list as mentioned here: http://uk.playstation.com/ps4/buy/ They arnt a massive chain (45 ish stores http://www.smythstoys.com/Store_Locator.aspx) but seeing as they are an official Stock-list shop they seem to get a decent amount of stock in.

Hopefully this will help out if there is one local to you.

Click info on any of the bundles you are interested in and get an email stock alert when they have some in, you could also ring/email them and ask the chances of that...
