Anyone picked this up? Been having a bash today and it's pretty fun, like minecraft in 2D but with a much wider variety of monsters and environment. Massive amount of content in comparison and still only in beta.

Rather than one world you have a spaceship and can fly between them, there's some insane number of planets and each is different among a certain number of types / 'biomes'.

Pretty fun.

Early access on steam, so basically beta access when you 'pre-order' but it's got a lot of content for a beta. Some slightly old school point and click humour in places and much to discover it seems.

The frame is standard at the moment, there is a bigger upgrade ship but I'm miles off that. There's also i THINK going to be stations of some kind looking in the game files. But like you can maybe make out you can build within the confines of the ship, though it's a little tight for space. (you can even farm on your ship :\ )

Had one hell of a exploratory caving session with a buddy, we ended up reaching magma and I suggested we try building/digging down through it. Turns out all sorts of ore spawns within the blocks you put down, bonus!
