So it looks like Fallout 4 is happening soonish.

First Bethesda trademarked the name "Fallout 4" and then today IGN posted this:

Looks like it could be well on its way, would be great if it came out somewhen in 2014. If we get Fallout 4 and Destiny in one year it'll be a massive year for open world games.

Anyway it should be amazing hopefully we aren't left waiting for too long!

I had that plan but caved and bought a PS4. Now I Need them to make Fallout 4 for it urgently!!

The stories of FUBAR'd PS4s straight out of the box is a bit of a worry so my plan is to wait until the middle of next year until early adopters have worked out all the bugs

However, if Fallout 4 comes out before then...

If it does make it out next year I doubt it'll be until very late next year, as I can't see them going from first announcement to release in under 6 months.

I would expect a conservative release date to be summer 2015, if there is an announcement in the near future (which I doubt there will be). I would then expect to see the release date slip back towards winter 2015 at the earliest. A whole new generation of technology is to be made use of, and I doubt they'll do anything other than take their time with it.

We know they are working on it, and we know they have been planning ti for a while even before Skyrim was announced. We just don't have any official detials yet.

It was always going to happen though, When Zenimax aquired it and went through all the legal crap with Blakc isle they siad they never planned just do one or two games
