At least expectations will be zero for this one. The Alien franchise really suits a survival horror/dead space type of game rather than an all out action FPS.

+1 - capture the essence of Dead Space 2 with an Alien storyline and youd have a hit. Trailer looks good - but I wonder if it really is 100% gameplay with imagery and sounds taken from many of the alien films.....

From what I read it is not played from the POV of a marine, but as Ripleys daughter, who is not military and has no guns.
We don't really need another aliens shoot em up IMO, aliens need to be scary, not whack a mole targets.

Its basically amnesia with an alien. There is only 1 alien which is stalking you throughout the entire game so you wont be killing it probably until the very end of the game.

After seeing the trailer... I don't know.

Sometimes I think the best way to enjoy the Alien franchise is to inhale some kind of stimulant / depressant and just rewatch Alien/s for the 300th time...










Although I did enjoy first couple AVP games on the PC!

The last good aliens game was the trilogy game on the old PS. This is the first I've got high hopes for it delivering, but I've been burned so often. But that pre-order bonus does look superb. Decisions, decisions.

Sounds interesting, i really enjoyed the original AvP and AvP2 on the PC. i loved how each species gave a different feel to the game and how you played it.

Hopefully this will be more of the same as the traditional Marines gameplay. Always feeling hunted no matter how many guns you had, and twitching every time you heard the motion sensor going. I used to love and loathe the trade off between using your weapon and torch and trying to listen to the motion sensor blipping or switching to it but having to put your weapon and torch away.


Has anyone seen if you can play as an Alien or is it just as a Human this time around.
