So,

last night I got in from work and decided to try out Xbox ones fitness apps via Kinect

All going well until I went to do a 1 handed press up and get a searing pain through my upper right arm and shoulder - feeling faint and borderline to throwing up

Mrs had to call 999 as I couldn't move without wanting to pass out from the pain

Turned out to be a dislocated shoulder so they reset it at A and E(with the help of some morphine) and now in a sling for 2 weeks

HOW embarrassing??!!

Shocked. Didn't the Kinect diagnose this? I thought it had x-ray built in (but probably takes them at 480p rolleyes)

AND it failed to dial 999 for you.

Seriously, take it back and sue M$

Loads of free games for you, as long as you don't write a review for it.

Too late, got all the games!

What makes it worse is being stuck at home off work, unable to play the 360 or One

Crikey!! That's pretty serious.

The sad thing is that if you were american you WOULD be suing them right now...

Did it actually ask you to do a 1 handed press up? I go to the gym 3 times a week and cant do one so seems crazy to ask someone to do one on some fitness thing for the general public.

Its a well known fact that this exercise lark is pretty dangerous and probably shouldn't be risked by anyone who values their health.

I chuckled to myself when I saw you were online and playing the fitness games and that was before I know about all of this!

Hope you have a painless recovery.

I feel for you OP. I slipped down the stairs a few years ago and dislocated my left shoulder pretty badly. The head of my shoulder was in my armpit...ouch!

In fact from July to October last year, it dislocated three times when I simply scratched my back, each time I had to go to A&E, morphine in and had it relocated. So just be careful is what I'm saying as if you do it once, you need to be careful for the next three years I think to stop it going again.

As we speak I'm in a sling for six weeks following surgery to reattach bits of my shoulder internally and rebuild some of my shoulder socket that had snapped off following the repeated dislocations.

Wishing you best for your recovery smile
