That's apparently making the creator $50k a day in advertising revenue!
Played it for 10mins and wondered what the fuss was!
There is no doubting, for the short time these games are doing well, they make some serious money! The enduring one is Candy Crush, makes some serious moolah, day in, day out. I remember some guys on Dragon's Den who were going to make a mobile game and have it become the next big thing and make everyone a ton of money, when it should have been pretty obvious that you can't engineer yourself into winning at this competition of having the next fad game.Played it for 10mins and wondered what the fuss was!

I read a report online (not sure where) which reported their earnings in the last quarter of 2013 was around $1million a day. Crazy money! Here's a source: http://kotaku.com/i-am-sorry-flappy-bird-users-22-...
People seem to feel he's pulling it as a result of the artwork being heavily derived from the Mario games. I suppose if Nintendo has a credible case then they'd follow it up; if he's making $50k a day through that game I imagine it's too big to ignore.
Everyone I know is addicted to it as well. I'm ashamed to say that, for all my time spent playing games, I couldn't get above 4 playing on a friend's phone. Even then it was a hard fought score, and I'd likely have given up had I been playing it on my own phone.
