Just got into the Beta and good lord this game looks good.

Obviously as it's a beta it is somewhat limited but so far it has fast pace and predictions of it knocking COD off the throne as king of FPS are not as far fetched as they first seemed.

The Beta opened to all who applied on the first day of my week off so I'm gonna give this game a damn good bashing this week.

I agree its good fun but I don't think the fun will last as long as Battlefield.

I missed the registration period (my lad told me about it late), but I'm trying to see if I can get access to it via Origins Live Chat - only 30-35 mins to wait for an advisor now.

I'm not saying I think COD is the king of FPS. Dear god I would hate for someone to think I like that pile of poo. I'm a BF we all the way but sales say that COD is king of the hill at the mo. The reason for this is, in my opinion, is that COD players aren't that bright and need games that aren't tactical and need little thought. Titanfall appears to be quick but it's quite tactical. It bridges the gap.

Just got the very nice man on Live Chat to add it to my account, rang my son at home (it's half term) to get him to try it - and then find out it's for friggin 64bit systems only!!!

Also what are the minimum specs required to run this? I have a pretty beefy laptop 17" (HP Envy) so want to give this a go if it'll run.

I've got a Toshiba 17 inch laptop, with a dedicated 2gb graphics card and it seems to be running everything well on favourable settings. I've got most things on high, besides lighting and effects quality. I'm going to put those on high next time I'm on it and see what happens, but I think it should be okay.

Its annoying as my laptop can't run BF4 on those settings, but then I've heard that is designed to run on much higher specification machines. Oh well.

Just got a key from EA support, wont be able o play it until after work tomorrow though. Am I right in thinking that the beta is only running until Wednesday?

It's supposed to run till midnight tomorrow night our time but due to the servers crashing for hours on end over the weekend the rumour is that they will extend it.

Some great gameplay there, reminds me of Crysis with the suit power ups like jumping and invisibility. Love the way you can wall run and climb onto the titans to destroy them. There is a titan that you can eject from and it explodes taking out anything close to it.
