I may well be getting a PS4 soon and was wondering what the best deals currently are? Ideally I'd like a bundle with BF4 as to be honest that's the only game I've been playing for a while. Also, am I right to assume my PS3 progress will transfer to the PS4 version?

Thank you

There's a bf4 bundle on shopto.net

console, extra controller, bf4 with china rising expansion pack and a years online pass for £494

Playing bf3 atm on the ps3 to ready up for a ps4 as not getting pc now and it's amazing how good bf4 on the ps4 looks.

Looks great on ps4, but still has plenty of issues.. frown
OP, yes you can migrate your multiplayer unlocks and progress onto ps4.
Also if you have a physical copy of bf4 for ps3 you should have a code to upgrade to ps4 version for 9.99.
Check when it expires though, I vaguely remember it mentioned sth about when it expires (May/June but I'm not sure on this one).
Once you do upgrade, pop over to bf4 ps4 thread, there's quite a few of us that play regularly.

Good advice to check the code expiry. I bought my son a PS4 at the end of Feb and I fancied trying out Ghosts on it. I had the PS3 disk and delayed downloading it until a couple of weeks after his birthday (start of March.) I was lucky, I had another 2 weeks before it expired.

Thanks, I seem to remember my code expires at the end of March so not sure if I'll get it in time for that.

The £494 seems expensive when the console itself is £349 ish? I don't think an extra controller will be of benefit at the moment as I'll only be playing BF4 so not sure it will be worth £150. I might get just the basic console and the game separately.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

A spare controller will be handy as the ps4 controllers go flat very quickly compared to the ps3 controllers. Unless you can sit close enough to use it plugged in of course.

It's about right(ish) if you break down the price of each thing individually. Not only that but they offer 12 months repair/returns should anything happen for free.

ps4 - £349
bf4 - (if buying new and not transferring from ps3) - £42-£50, otherwise £9.99
bf4 premium(if you decide to go for it) - £32??
ps4 1 year online pass - £39
extra controller - £35-£40?

OK, when you put it like that I suppose it adds up, there goes the £400 idea biggrin

Check hotukdeals for ps+ subscription, sometimes deals pop up where you can buy it for 25 quid.
Batteries in the pad are worse than in ds3, but easily lasts a few hours gaming session.

I've had my PS3 for years and am really impressed at the battery life and the time it takes to charge once flat so hopefully the 4 won't be a letdown for me.

This.

I got a bundle with two controllers and am glad I did in the end - they do not last like the PS3 controllers...

The PS4 controller lights up like a fun fair ride at Blackpool and doesn't last that long. I tend to sit close when gaming so not a problem but if you're on the sofa a fair distance away from the box then it can be a little frustrating

Just bought console bundle pack with Watch Dogs and a years subscription to plus for 420 in Argos. Without the plus it's 385. Comes with a limited edition exclusive steelbook. Imagine my horror when I opened it to find no disc!! :O turns out its in standard packaging under console so you have to do the job for them! Haha no idea what to do with second box now :S
