Simple question - but I suspect it's not so simple to do?

My son wants to run around in my world on Minecraft PC version, which I've only ever played alone on my laptop. He plays in his friends' worlds on the tablet edition without a problem - but how is it done between PCs?

All I can find is information about joining servers, setting up servers, paying etc. It's so easy on the tablets, but bizarre on the PC!

Thanks smile

Provided you are both connected to the same home network, open your sinlgle player game and then press escape and select open to LAN. Other player then opens minecraft and selects multiplayer and it will scan for games and should be able to join yours

Minecraft is the one game that has escaped me. I really should give it a go one day.

In the back of mind I just know that it'll have me hooked.

This is why I avoided it for a long time. Then my son came home from a friend's house and asked for it on his tablet.

Slippery slope...

I could not see the point of it when my sons played it but as soon as I had a go I was hooked.
I now play it more than them. smile
