Kids absolutely love this game. Not just young kids but even my son who is a 'cool' teenager. I've watched kids play on it for hours on the PS and even tablets and I still don't get it. I thought the retro blocky graphics would be a turn off for the HD generation but apparently not. It must just be one of those playable games. My son doesn't understand my addiction to candy crush but it's just addictive.
Thanks guys!
Ive never played it before. I guess I'm intrigued. Before it never appealed to me, the boyfriend is on it all the time and gets addicted so I don't want it to take over my life either. Also, I'm afraid I wouldn't understand what the hell I'm doing or what things mean, when I watch someone else play it all looks confusing. But I suppose it's like that with every game you play.
Not sure why it matters but what's best to play it on xbox or a laptop?

It really is a good game, not just for kids!
I bought it on 360 as I prefer playing games on that (and all my friends and wife had it on 360 - big must) It's actually 'better' on PC as you have all the mods and bigger maps, but whichever you have more people to play with is genuinely the best bet!
Don't worry about not understanding it, there is a tutorial and it really is a simple game...

It's an excellent game. It's a bit like virtual LEGO but set in a vast game world. You can build almost anything. At times it plays like a horror/survival game, especially when you're running low on health. Other times, it's like a big exploration game where you can get quite easily lost in the big cave systems and there is the collecting/mining/crafting side of things too.
