Xbox One owners are complaining that a new TV advert is switching their consoles on without their permission.

The ad - featuring Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul - has the actor say "Xbox On" near its start.

The instruction appears to trigger the machine's Kinect voice/motion sensor, activating the console.

Wish my xbox worked like it did in the advert.

Currently it's going the way the Wii did when it came out, it got used for a little while and now just sits there unused.

Use it then?

Nurburgring just been released, couple of free games for gold users, Watch Dogs is pretty good if you look past the disappointing graphics. Don;t really know what people were expecting to be different about it?

Could have been worse I suppose, he could have said "Xbox turn off".

Reminds me of the guy who set up an Xbox One profile called "Xbox sign out", trolling of Xbox one players here: youtube video of him trolling.smile

Is that the same guy as the "Xbox Skype" trolling?

I was watching the Big Bang Theory the other night where Sheldon spends the whole episode trying to decide between an Xbox One and a PS4 (excellent episode btw).

Pretty much every time he said "Xbox One" the little light on the front of mine started to glow... nerd

Is the Nurburgring free?

I think the games so far have been disappointing, not up the quality of the 360 let alone next gen.

Yes it's free. smile

While I agree the initial line up is disappointing, it's early days still. The games on the 360 when released were not really next gen compared to the original Xbox.

It took them 7 years to get the 360 to the level it's at, give them and the developers some time, I saw Assassin's creed unity at E3 looks amazing a real step on from the 360 game.

Had this happen to mine. Annoying thing is that it doesn't work when I say "Xbox On".

Probably is that. :-)

Annoying thing number two. I've set up a profile for my girlfriend and now if we both sit down in front of the TV, the Xbox recognises her first.
