Space engineers, anyone tried it?

How close is it to being a fully working and easy to use game?

There are plenty of videos on Youtube so should be able to get a reasonable idea of what it's like from those.

Saw a few, but looked a little clunky when 2 people were building fighters and then going toe to toe with each other and only managed to kill themselves, by flying into the missiles they had just launched.

Or building a huge ship and the first time they fired the main cannon, it flew backwards and smashed the bridge to pieces.

Was wondering if those flaws are working yet?
