Hi all,

I've got a 2 month hospital stay coming up next week, so I was planning on getting a couple of games off of Steam to make it more bearable.

I've recently got Kerbal Space Program which I absolutely adore (been to the Mun and Minmus but can't figure out how to get to Duna), so I'm looking for more games in that direction.

Also RPGs are welcome (not the Diablo style action RPG, I like mine classic - think FFVII), and RTS or even turn-based.

Has to be cheap and awesome wink

Anyone got an opinion on Startopia ? Sins of a Solar Empire ?

Thanks in advance u guise!

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is the best RTS I've played in a good while. Thoroughly reccomend that.
Other strategy game you should get are Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universialis 4.. warning with those last two, they are classic 'Oh bugger it's 4am already and I am up for work in 4 hours' games.

What about Civilization V its a classic or Age of empires of course, just have a gander on steam. Lots of good games in the RTS genre, MOBA or DOTA might be worth a look at but ive never played them.

FTL, turn based spaceship commander. I have a huge number of hours on this and I've still not completed it even on easy. It's on ipad as well as steam.

SoaSE sounds good, guess I'll have to check that one more closely.

Isn't FTL a touch based game?

I already have CIV V wink

It was on PC before the tablets, works well with a mouse.

I recommend Civ5, got it for my Surface tablet due to touch screen support. Many an hour spent building up my empire.

Also recommend World in Conflict. Turn based map but the battles are all RTS.

Divinity: original sin would be worth a look. Personally not an rats fan but have mates that love it

X-COM Enemy Unknown, Supreme Commander and the (standalone) expansion Forged Alliance, Magicka for a laugh with mates, Anno2014(?) is meant to be a good SimCity type game but not played it yet.

Obviously having 2 months in hospital sucks and you have my sympathies but on the other hand two months of solid RTS gaming with no work.... biggrin
