I picked up a ps3 off of ebay and looking for some good driving game recommendations?

I have got and almost completed need for speed most wanted - loved it, would have prefered it a bit more if the city unlocked as i completed stuff
but the graphics were good and the chases fun (despite the police cars being quicker than me with Nitros in a maclaren!)

Anyhow just bought NFS rivals, but looking for some others? Have GT5 which is OK but I've haven't played it much.

Any recomendations?

Been looking at the following
NFS Hot Pursuit
NFS The Race
Shift 2
Grid 2
Burnout Paradice
Driver: San Francisco
ModNation Racers
Motorstorm Apocalypse

Cheers

I've got NFS Shift 2 and Driver San Francisco, I'd say don't bother with either of those. I've played a few NFS games and not been impressed with any of them tbh, all a bit arcadey, all style and no substance. I gather GRID2 is a bit pants from reviews and threads on here but there's a new one out soon which is supposed to be a lot better.

I've got the two most recent Gran Turismo games which I like but I'm not as enthusiastic about them as some are.

GT6 is only about £17 on Amazon. It's better than 5 and the choice of tracks is huge.

I have a 360 but shift 2 is pretty good IMO. If it's a racing game your after rather than a pure driving one it's leagues ahead of gran turismo. It took me a while tweeking the handling settings for game pad as out the box it's a bit off but I really enjoy it.

Grid 2 is not really worth it. If you can get the original grid on ps3 though then get that as it's ace.

Edited to add that I haven't tried it yet but the new grid autosport looks a good game, but still pricey at the moment. Wait a couple of months and it should be about £20

One thing to remember for Shift2 is that the tyre pressure is too high in pretty much every car, drop it down to 50% of what it is or near there and it'll be a lot better.

If you enjoyed Most Wanted, would definitely reccomend Hot Pursuit. I enjoyed Hot Pursuit more, and MW is just an evolution of it.

Burnout Paradise, will also be similar handling, but expect a lot of crashing into AI traffic cars and such!

I thought Driver:SF was great fun! Especially online.

Burnout Paradise is absolutely brilliant for an arcade racer. I put a stupid amount of time into that game. I still mourn the passing of Criterion games as I'm not sure that we will ever see another Burnout. Their NFS games were ok, but no where need as good as Paradise.

I just couldn't get into it personally. Maybe I was judging it harshly based on the original Driver and Driver 2 games on the PSone which I loved but I have never felt like I've enjoyed the time I've spent playing it really. The whole out of body thing just seems a bit silly too.
