PS3 controller issue

Anyone experienced this before and no a fix? We recently went on holiday with friends and they took their PS3 for the kids, so I took our two duelshock controllers as well. Everything fine until we got home. Now neither of the two I brought back will charge or connect to my PS3? As all the handsets were the same we just took two home each so I may have one or both of theirs, but surely they should still work fine? Don't even work when connected via USB.

Any ideas? Is there a reset (tried the one on the handset) process I need to undertake.

Ignore this problem solved. Turns out the USB cable I used on return didn't pass power...

Never heard of it before, but I would test those controllers with another PS3, and then test another PS3 controller with your PS3. That should tell you if it's a PS3 or controller problem, it sounds like the PS3 is the problem from your description though as it's odd that 2 controllers would go at the same time.
