Xbox one problem

Just got console back from repair(disc drive) and it needed to be set up again, then it said an update required it downloaded the update pretty quick then applied then the next time I checked it was saying an error occured with the up date now it says it's not connected to network. But how did it download the update? Anyone any ideas? I'm not very technical by the way

Eventually went on said that there was a problem with Xbox live
