For Xmas this year, with no input or hint dropping from myself, Ms Badger got me for Xmas a PS4 with Call of Duty:Advanced Warfare & The Last of Us, plus a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker. I am happy biggrin.

Anyone got any game recommendations? I'm going to buy the Alien game & scare the poo out of myself.

Me, Xmas morning...

If Alien Isolation is too scary, try Outlast, it's less scary..........no actually that might be wrong, or not I haven't played my AI yet to compare. smile

GTA V. Just pure amusement. Either play the storyline or ignore and rampage/cruise around.

Dragon Quest Inquisition: Not quite SKYRIM but still lots of fun cruising about and getting involved in other peoples business :-)

Far Cry 4: similar words to those I wrote for GTA V.

I tend to like open world games like these and don't enjoy ones that spoon feed you the next challenge.

Alien Isolation is a must too, but you already mentioned that.

Oh yes... Resogun is fun too.

Good luck.

Good choices there, thanks. Would I enjoy Dragon Quest if I'm not into the whole fantasy / Lord of the rings / Warcraft / Diablo thing?

I had GTA V on PS3, do you reckon it's worth getting it again on the 4?

Yes to GTA5... the lighting is so lovely and the detail is amazing. Although now I spend alot of my time driving around enjoying the view than actually doing anything. Still sometimes I have a spell of getting beat by vinopete wink

Dragon Q: It is fantasy based and I am only so far in so can't tell how much "generic" fun is to be had. Personally I just like wandering around in awesome environments people have spent ages making. That is why skyrim and gta V are so good.

I have ps3 and ps4 gtav. Maybe you wait a little and get a discounted gtav as it's not necessarily something you will play through again immediately, more something you like to have to go for a drive or a drive by shooting and enjoy the amazing graphics.

In eye (which ps4 has for gtav) gtav is a totally different experience. Loads of fun :-)

Like yourself I was also lucky and got a PS4 for xmas from the gf's parents. (Apparently that's my payment for giving them their first grandchild.).

Anyway games i've got so far are the last of us and Assassins Creed: Unity. As you already have the last of us I highly recommend Assassins Creed: Unity. smile

Really ?

Has this been patched ? THis was a horrible broken mess when it was first released.

It was so bad Activision gave away the DLC for free and for anyone who bought the DLC got a free game!

It must have been absolutely terrible is Activision felt the need to compensate people for it. Did EA chip in too? wink
