I appreciate that this might not be of much interest (as it is a B2P MMO) and that it has been out for a couple of years - however this weekend:

https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/news/this-weekend...

Of particular interest:

'We know there are some people who have not yet experienced Guild Wars 2 out there. We have a special offer for you, too. This weekend, 24 and 25 January, you can purchase the game for an unprecedented 75% off!* That’s our best offer ever on one of the most critically acclaimed and decorated MMO games of all time. *Offer applies only to Digital Heroic Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition purchased through buy.guildwars2.com from 17:00 CET (8:00 a.m. Pacific Time) on 24 January 2015 through 8:59 am CET, 26 January 2015 (11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on 25 January 2015'.

Merely a heads up for those that may wish to try it smile

Cheers

Played GW1 for 5 years of my life, religiously. It was hands down one of the best games I've ever played. It was different to Runescape/WoW and was a load of fun.

Unfortunately they c*cked up GW2 hence why all the religious players from GW1 never really bothered to follow it.

I loved GW1 and I enjoyed GW2 to a point but it was very much the same as so many other MMO's it lost something from its unique approach and did a me too.

Just my 2p worth - I found GW2 to be much better than WoW and other MMORPGs out there purely because you didn't have to have a guild full of people and 5 hours a night to do anything. I got a level 70 character without ever needing to speak to a single person and I could play 1 hour a night two or three times a week to get there - much better for people who have a social life / a job as well as the game smile
