Maybe now I'll finally be able to finish this wonderful game! (My old PC couldn't hack the penultimate level due to the amount of ships on screen)

Can't wait!

Oooooo, didn't realise it was so soon.
tbh the video I watched didn't exactly blow me away, graphics wise, but frankly I'll be happy just to be able to play it again.

I've pre ordered it.

I played and loved the 2nd but never tried the first.

I'm not totally clued up but it looks like the original engine just with updated textures, higher resolutions etc.

Still, looking forward to playing it on my day off on Thursday.

Cor. Blast from the past, must admit to putting it aside when it kept crashing after I bought it in the bargain bucket in Game a few years ago, trying to get it to the right resolutions etc. failed.. No updates at the time.

Cool, finished the first one but never tried the 2.

Might need to get this for my laptop and those boring long haul flights...

Gearbox have melded the best bits of the two UIs and fleet control. Gfx look very nice, and when those strings swell as the Mothership undocks... Wow.

Pre ordered this on Monday, downloading it tonight.

I lost WAY too many hours to homeworld when I was in my late teens.

Loved the storytelling, the battles and the fun you could have by doing different tactics each time to complete a mission.

Off next week with lots to do, but having just got Dragon age: Inquisition and this....may end badly with my timetable.

Will definately be getting this, still stuck into Elite at the mo though. Played a lot of MP back in the day, I wonder how much my fingers will remember? smile

Played the first 2 missions last night before hitting the sack. It feels like 1999 all over again, they just don't make games like this anymore!

How the hell did this one pass me?!
Awesome, thanks Op for highlighting this.
Guess the other half can catch up on her Eastenders now then!

Hearing that there's bugs with the fighter formations. No fix on the horizon.

Homeworld remastered 1 & 2, and the original versions, are part of a Humble Bundle offer (with a bunch of other stuff) for $12, on Steam it's £26.99 . There's 5 days left on the offer. https://www.humblebundle.com/glens-staff-picks-gam.... I'll probably cave and get it.
