New Unreal Tournament

Well this flew under my radar

Big fan of the 1999 GOTY Unreal Tournament. The later games expanded on the game modes, but never really topped the basic arena fighting fun of the original.

Trying to find out some more info, but from what I have seen it looks like UT remade with Unreal 4. This might just cause me to sell up the iMac and build a new gaming box!

Anyone else know anything? anyone else excited?

Its already out as an alpha, I never got chance to get in on it though, I was a big UT fan back in the lates 90s too.

I just came across it the other day as well - need to get a bigger HDD though, I'm full up!
It's going to be completely free, with transactions for skins etc but no pay to win. Apparently. Done by the original developement house with heavy community involvement.

I can only assume they're aiming at making money by holding e-sports tournies and the like?
