So gents GT Academy is upon us, round 1 is silverstone in a GT-R on Sports Soft tyres, how is everyone getting on?

Round 2 is supposedly a GT3 GT-R and a new Nissan LMP2 car for round 3 could leave us with the new LMP1 car for round 4!!

I hate the fact that the winner could come round and physically do the time on my console but I can't press the buttons at that exact right time to do it myself. hehe

I'm around the same but on the pad. Only tried to get gold as I thought you'd get the car but nope. It's not even in the dealership.

Half an hour after a 2 hour long update on GT6 and currently ranked circa 4k in the world. Plenty of work to do then!

Anyone got any general tips for improving lap time? Currently dat at 2:08.3 and don't seem to be able to get any faster. Have tried loading the fastest replay to try and follow some different lines l, but still not having any luck!

Round 2 is out, Nismo GTR GT3 round brands Hatch.

1:28.000 for gold I'm at 1:27.604 on the pad can easily see an extra .400 but no need as only the final round is important and I'm not going to win.

How are people doing with Round 2? I am Currently at 1.27.3 at Brands using the wheel.

Is it just the final round that counts?

Do we have a pistonheads GT6 group for competitive racing?

You need to bronze each round to be eligible. And obviously winning the final round or placing in the top few.

Once you have gold no real reason to keep pushing the lap times in these rounds. As for the next 2 rounds I expect to see 2 Nissan LM cars that are currently not in the game.

As for a PH series there is and its on the next page. I think it's Sunday's or Mondays they race. Haven't joined in for a while as my poor internet makes me crash into people (all to be fixed next week)

Just got you on a 1.24.4 norbs!

Actually have quite a bit of time in hand but can't string it all together in one lap!

Had another go earlier and managed a 1:23.620 although it was a scruffy lap.

I was 0.7 up on the next lap but binned it coming out of Dingle Dell.

1.23.6 is a cracking time, where does that put you on the leaderboard? Is it possible to see where that places you in terms of national standings? I'm stuck at 1.25.2. Any recommendations to improve lap times? Currently using a Thrustmaster 500RS.

It's all about being smooth but I'm sure your aware of that. The only time a quick time counts is the final I'm putting my money on Le Sarthe in the GTR LMP1 car.

I'm really struggling with this I'm at 2.15.662 and I can see where I can gain around a second if I get a clean lap in. But that still puts me 1.5sec off gold.
