Last month I bought myself a shiny new Xbox one, from the microsoft store as they had sent me a particularly good deal (£270 including Evolve).

however, they forgot to put evolve in the box, and rather than send me a copy, gave me a £50 microsoft store card.

the problem is that i'm not bothered about Evolve, and nothing else inspires me.

i bought forza horizon 2 with my console and have been playing that since, pretty much non-stop.
I dont fancy the slog of the race series in Forza 5, i dont really have more than an hour a night.

i have GTA4 on the 360 and it gives me motion sickness so GTA5 is out.

with the 360, i bought games here, there and everywhere, resulting in games unplayed or half finished, which i am slowly working through ( tomb raider is excellent). with the XB1, i intend to only buy the games I really want. the issue being that my voucher expires on July 5th and the games I am after are all autumn releases.

i dont want project cars for the same reason as forza 5. Dead island 2 has been postponed until autumn. Ravenwing is unknown.

do any of you have any thoughts as to what is good, or coming soon that is worth a look at?

it must come from the microsoft store which doesnt help.

cheers.

Mortal Kombat X is supposed to be pretty awesome, or Dark Souls 2 if you're feeling brave?

Destiny!?

More seriously:-

Shadow of mordor got very good reviews.
DS 2 (but read about what type of game it is)
Borderlands collection
Sunset overdrive
Dyling light (zombie survival game)
Dragon age inquisition
Far cry 4

or buy a few of the "smaller" games - some get very good reviews (valiant hearts, ori and blind forest, super time force the escapists, trials fusion, etc etc)

or if you really dont want anything can you use it to buy extra "Xbox Live" time?

i've heard good things about Far cry 4 and Dying light.

part of me wants to wait for Lego: jurassic park.

i dont want a game that needs a good 2 hour run at it; 2 young kids in the house need attention. my gaming is pretty limited to 1-2hours at a time...max.

Ok - lego is a must if you want to play co-op with the kids and/or play on your own :-)

Lego marvels superheroes seems to get quite good comments as one of the best/better games (it is the only one i've played).

Co op is good fun but the weird camera can make you dizzy

Old School Shooter (And great fun!) - Wolfenstein
RPG - Dragon Age, I dip in and out but it can be a long game
RPG - Diablo 3 - again good to dip in and out of
RPG - The Witcher, not for some time yet though I don't think. Probably well worth buying however

FIFA? You can drop in and out of that, as I'm in your position too.

Another vote for Shadow of Mordor, you will definetely enjoy it especially if you are a Tolkien fan, great battle mechanics and the Nemesis system is huge fun.
