I'm happily using a DFGT and it feels great on PCars whereas I could never get it to feel right on AC.

kieranpbennett on steam for when we get some races going driving

[AoS]Bullett on steam, I'll be up for anything depending on time and place.

I have a T300 GTE (it's a good wheel, much better than the G25 it replaced) with G25 pedals.

Sakanoue on Steam!

I have a GT Driving Force wheel that I got with Gran Torismo 5. Seems to work great for Project Cars, not needed to adjust the settings yet.

Think I need a better gfx card though mine I seem to loose frame rate noticeably in the wet with a lot of cars running.

Dons1mpson is my steam name.

Is this game much better with a wheel?

I have a t500 but its such a pain to set up every time i want to do a couple of laps. I've been playing on a control and have found it rather enjoyable in the pick up and play sense.

So, max settings locked at 30fps

Or

slightly lower settings at 60fps?

I can't decide. Even at max I don't think it looks particularly all that great.

Slightly lower 60FPS, can't stand anything below 50 now really. 60 just seems so smooth

It looks kind of ugly at anything below max settings though.

What are you guys using to monitor FPS? Will be interested to see what mine actually drop to on the bigger races.

I think the only way to fix it is to stick it on pole...then there's less to render lol.

When I need it I use FRAPS - http://www.fraps.com/

Free version works with limited time for video capture and watermark, but turn it on before playing any game and you'll get a good FPS count in any corner of the screen you want, plus the ability to grab screenshots.

Steam has an FPS counter, Go to settings, then ingame and you can chose where you want it to appear.

If you have a Nvidia card, GeForce experience has an FPS counter and also will record HD footage of the battles we are all sure to have in the coming weeks smile.

Shall we get a lap comp running in the meantime?

Ahh I hardly use the GeForce experience thing! Will get that on the go tonight and see what my average is.

ShadowPlay is actually quite handy but on some games if you alt/tab out for some reason it can disable it and you have to close everything down and start again.

It pretty good for free software and you can set your record buttons as short cuts so as not to alt tab out all the time, think it is alt F9 as standard.

Didn't even know about it until a few versions ago but is a handy tool.

Pcars also shows up in the list of games so you can optimise your graphics settings but if you are struggling for FPS, Detailed grass in the settings can make a big difference by lowering or turning it off.

Having to restart the game whenever you change any graphics settings, INC THE fkING RESOLUTION, is nothing short of tedious

Less than £25 from CDKeys for the Deluxe version (if you include the 5% off for liking their Facebook page) was too much of a steal to pass up.

Can anyone help me out with settings for this? I have just put together a reasonable spec PC based around an i7-4790 CPU and GTX 970 GPU, but I can't get it to run this well. Maybe I am expecting too much?

The main reason that I got tired of console racing games was all of the jagged lines/flashing going on in the distance, but at first play this seems even worse! I have set the anti-aliasing to 'DS4X', and this seems about the best setting of the ones that I have tried, but there is still a lot of flashing/movement going on.

The other thing is the jerkiness of the game - this is most noticeable when doing hard corners during the gameplay, but all of the time on replays. My poor car looked as though it was bunny-hopping up the straight at Silverstone, when in fact I was flat out.

Any suggestions welcome!
