PS4 wireless headsets?

I currently have a pair of Sony Playstation Pulse headphones (bought when I had a PS3) (photo below)



Now while these are compatible with the PS4 and produce 7.1 surround sound, I wondered if there were better headsets out there for PS4 gaming? I've looked online and the Turtle Beach Elite 800x look to be about the best wireless headset you can buy at the moment, but I'm wondering just how much better these will be than my 3-4 year old Pulse ones?

Can anyone give any feedback / insights? Am I wasting money or has the game really moved on with regards to clarity and performance over my old Pulse headset?
