Until Dawn and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture!

Hope they're worth it! I got the 1TB Ultimate edition. We already have a PS3 with 1TB HDD, and I have a lot of classic games on it, I am assuming they cannot be transferred over to the PS4?

Wife's gonna kill me when it turns up tomorrow! hehe

Let us know what they are like. Nothing has appealed on this generation of console until these two popped up.
I already have a PS3 and a high spec gaming PC in the house. Oh and a Wii.
I think the boy would like the new lego dimensions game or maybe that Disney Infinity for new Star Wars as well.

PS4 Only plays PS4 games; I think there may be a few older titles available for download, but it won't play PS2/3 discs I too am looking forward to Getting Unitl Dawn and EGTTR. If you're into story-telling games you may also want to check out Life Is Strange - there is a thread on it somewhere here.

I'm just looking at PS4s too...

Is yours the new CUH-1200 model? Or are all new ones being shipped now that version?

I have Life id Strange on Steam, yet to play it.

The games are all digital versions, bought from the PS Store on our PS3 (all of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Silent Hill games). If I cannot have them on the PS4 HDD, I will have to keep the PS3 side by side with the PS4...

Pretty sure digital PS3 downloads are not compatible, a quick Google would seem to confirm this.

Yep. At launch neither PS4 or xbox one offered any backwards compatibility. MS has now changed its stance and going forwards it will be possible to play xbox 360 games on the one (technically any, but I understand there is some sort of process where original producers need to apply/approve their release for xbox one which might limit what games actually become available ).

Sony made it very clear this wasn't something they were considering.

I bought a PS4 for Bloodborne and The Last Of Us. I've barely used the fker since! My Xbox One is used every day, OTOH.

I'm still shocked after both consoles being out for so long that there's not a standalone amazing game that's been out on either, I think the best games I've played on both consoles are Forza Horizon 2 and GTA 5...

I'll probably buy one just for Uncharted 4, but also fancy EHGTTR. I only bought a PS3 for Uncharted 1-3 and Heavy Rain and The Last of Us. Good games but my word I hated the console. PS4 might be the same!

Well hopefully, it should arrive tomorrow (ordered from Amazon)

I still love playing my old 'classic' games, so both the PS3 and 4 will have to be side by side.

Until Dawn (and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture) look so good that I just had to try them out - not interested in the endless shoot-em-up titles (being 48..and I prefer PC and mouse for those games anyway, could never get used to aiming with a controller)

Are there any stand out driving games for the PS4 yet?

I have played the last of Us on the PS3, quite good! May have to try out Star Wars: Battlefront when it's released, too.

I've got EGTTR, The Last Of Us and Dying Light, all are good. In my opinion The Last Of Us is one of the best games ever made but some will disagree.

Haven't finished EGTTR yet so won't comment but it is a very interesting experience. Not really a conventional game as such.

Dying Light I really enjoyed. A game that scared me at times biggrin The parkour aspect is fun and having to toughen up before you can really fight was refreshing as you have to put some work in before you can go toe to toe with even the most lowly enemies.

In the next couple of months I've got Doom 4, the new Tony Hawk's, Fallout 4, No Man's Sky, Dishonoured 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront to crack on with biggrin

I'd still like to play Forza though.

ETA: How could I forget, Battlefield 4 and Hardline. I have over 400 hours on those two.

OK, it's all set up, I bought EGOTR and is downloading. The only game from my PS library I can download is the HD remake of the original Resident Evil. (was hoping my digital copy of Alien Isolation would be transferable, too, but no frown )

I can only see project Cars as the only real driving game, perhaps a new GT is coming soon..

Must look into Dying Light...
