XBO controller - firmware reset?
Discussion
Anyone know if this is possible - last ditch attempt before I go through the pain of having to deal with MS about getting a free replacement.
Basically my controller randomly disconnects itself - and then will reconnect, seconds, minutes later. I have gone through everything on the MS site about trouble shooting but the issue remains.
I was just thinking that if there was some way to wipe the controllers firmware I could re-update it and see if that fixes the issue.
Thanks

Or this
"Take the battery out and wire connect it to the Xbox and leave it for a while (Xbox on and about 30mins) .
I had a problem with a controller and it fixed it. Seems to do it in the background"

I've had this problem since the Xbox One came out. It got so bad I just used it plugged into the console.
Since I updated the firmware a few months ago though the problem had mostly gone away.
Whereas I was experiencing it a couple of times an hour, I'm lucky to see it twice a week now.
Sorry I cant' be any more help but I know how frustrating it is. Playing offline games would normally make the game pause when it disconnected, but being in the middle of a raid in Destiny when it disconnected was f
king infuriating.

Thanks for the link - I hadn't seen that one in my googles. Given it a go - suppose time will tell!"Take the battery out and wire connect it to the Xbox and leave it for a while (Xbox on and about 30mins) .

Mine is really random and seems to happen even if the controller is plugged in. Where I sit, whats on in the house, the placement of the XBO, clear line of sight to the controller - makes no difference. It also seems to be affecting my headset - people can only occasionally here me and when the do its garbled or static.Since I updated the firmware a few months ago though the problem had mostly gone away.
