Without wishing to start a massive argument, I'm unsure what to buy! I used to play a lot, until kids came along, so I've yet to move on from my PS3 and 360 to a new gen console.

I predominantly play driving games and love a bit of CoD - so based on that which one would be best to buy? I really enjoyed Forza on the 360, and the new one looks incredible, but does it put the xbone ahead of the PS4? Are there any decent driving games out for the ps4?

Thanks

Ps4 Drive club is a good fun arcadey driving game with nice handling.

Project cars is now really good now its had its updates.

Plus gran turismo 7 might make an appearance next year.

And the ps4 has Sony Vr from Feb next year so this will be a game changer for games as you will be in the game so to speak!

I'm pleased with mine.

Xbox one is very good too though!

Project cars is available on both systems. I suppose the PS4 will get a new Gran Tourismo at some point.

One thing to seriously consider is that the PS4 should have a VR headset mid 2016, I can imagine a driving game utilizing that will be amazing.

As well as Sony VR this game will be out too!

Surely this would swing it to the PS4?

I've taken the unorthodox route of going for a top end gaming PC instead. Most games are now readily available for PC and now also works as a media hub in the man cave.

Pretty much this - the consoles aren't a million miles apart and most of the big titles will be cross platform, or at least have a comparable game (Forza to Gran Turismo for example)

For me, a few mates had Xboxes and I am a big fan of the Halo and Gears of War Games - so was a no brainer for me.

It all depends what your friends have.

Xbox generally has better exclusives (Halo, Scalebound, Sunsent Overdrive) but the PS4 has Bloodborne and a better menu system.

Ultimately, get what your friends have as there isn't much between them otherwise.

Don't forget XBone will have backwards game compatibility soon (but not for all games), I don't think there are any plans for this on PS4.

I've not gone new gen yet, still PS3 and XB360. I'm a PC gamer now anyway, the only reason I got PS3 was for GT...the racing game options on PC are so much better so GT7 will be the first GT I won't be buying. The missus and kids are all about XB360 so natural upgrade for us will be XBone. Then the kids will keep their mucky hands off my PC (hopefully!)

As some one who refuses to play online/is Billy no mates... I went for a PS4, although I was 50/50 at the time of purchase. Happy with my choice; my only regret is not being able to play the newest Gears of War collection.

Why?

You are missing out on Battlefield 4 - one the most awesome games in a year IMHO.

I've got Battlefield 4 for the 360 actually; just picked it up second hand from game the other week. I was xbox for almost the entire last gen, until Last of Us came out and PS3s were relatively cheap by then so I ended up with both. Then spent a year overseas and came back in January - needed (wanted) a new gen console and I much preferred the PS4. Games/graphics-wise there isn't much between the two, but I much prefer the interface of the Sony. But like I said, it was 50/50.
