Forza 6 - new user questions

Picked up an Xbox One today with Forza 6 (and Fallout 4, 3, FIFA 16, Witcher 3, horizon 2, Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront ).

Now I've been a Forza 4 fanboy for a long time and would have been happy to keep playing but Forza 6 was calling.

So put it on and instantly felt annoyed by them over egging the pudding - annoying intro QS session, too much shine and weirdly the graphics felt over done and seemed to be in a weird way a step back from Forza 4.

Finally worked out the inflowing menus and after winning an RS5 and then buying an E92 M3 had a go at Nordschleife (after working out the start is now the GP circuit) and was like 'this is different - good though'

Then I tried Le Mans at night - holy st it's amazing.

Then I tried Le Mans in the rain. Holy st it's double amazing

Then I tried Top Gear circuit - now the graphics and more detail shine through.

Can see that it's got real potential.

One mega annoying feature is a) there are no half mile/mile drag tracks - am I missing something?

Also when you complete a 1/4 drag it literally flashes a time up but instantly cuts away and you can't see your time. Very annoying.

In addition it starts the clock the minute the track appears so there's no real accuracy on timing.

Would love some hints and tips to start in a good way and to look for.
