It's also years old at this stage, and it gets boring really quickly. Played it a few years ago, but it got tedious revisiting the few sites in my area.

Yeah if you live somewhere rural it can get quite repetitive. But it does let you link and create fields without interruption from other players and farm your portals so when you go into town you're ready for the action.

Been playing for about a year. I'm not obsessive about it, unlike my OH who started several months after me and is already 2 grades higher. The big advantage she has is that she works in London and goes past hundreds of portals on a daily basis, whereas I work locally and only ever pass the same few all the time. I did manage to hold on to a guardian for 190 days though, so I was quite chuffed with that, especially as it was one I had submitted in the first place.
