I forgot about the space cows hehe Mooooo.

Such a fun game, finding the redeemer on top of one of the towers and seeing how long you could fly it around for there.

Me & a mate have an extensive map playlist setup on UT2004 for Instagib rounds as we still play it every few weeks. Instagib (with low-grav & quad-jump mutators) is peak-UT in my opinion. biggrin

CTF-Face is a classic map that still gets played a lot on UT2004, but another fave for Instagib is Deck-17 (remake of the classic Deck-16).

I couldn't count the number of hours spent playing Instagib Team Deathmatch on the original UT though. I also played a ton of Capture the Flag, favorite maps for this were CTF-Face, CTF-Lava Giant, CTF-November (the sub pen), and CTF-Grendle Keep.

I remember building several of my own maps in Unreal Editor back then too- culminating in a giant covered dry-dock housing a large warship with 3 internal decks and accessible gun turrets. I think I must have spent about 6 months building that map- it took me 2 weeks just to light it properly! rotate

My Fav Map was Coret Facility that i played on the demo for ages even after the full game came out, as back then servers had soecific communities etc so it was so cool. I can't count the hours played as well.

Did anyone else play the multiplayer demo for a long tome or was it just me? I even made my own clan called 'X' and recruited a few people haha... seems just like yesterday

UT was the first game I played online - on good ol' 56k. I had no idea what was going on and was fragged so much that I didn't return to online gaming until Call of Duty in 2003 (at which I was pretty decent).
