So the new Call of Duty is nearly upon us anyone pre ordered?

The beta for ps4 starts tomorrow and early access for Modern Warfare remastered is already active.

Anyone trying the ps4 beta as you get some extra codes to distribute out.

Not sure you get extra codes if you ordered from the Playstation store as you're automatically entered into the beta without needing codes etc.

Must've been because I had to redeem a code on the Activision website.

Hopefully will be a few on the beta as not much chatter around this COD

So to get modern warfare you have to pay £70, it doesn't just come with infinite warfare?

I was only going to get it for the tarted up modern warfare. You can't get modern warfare on its own without spending £70?
Even then it will probably be DLC for a gun or to have anyone to shoot at.

Doesn't look like it. Legacy version and above, £70 minimum.

That's got to be the biggest next gen cash in yet?

It's an even bigger rip off than star wars battlefront . Possibly. hehe

Modern Warfare re-mastered is superb. It reminds you why it's the best COD. The online will be a good throw back, too.

Just had a quick go on remastered just as good as I remember, can't wait for the multi player.

Activision missed a trick on this could've released it as a stand alone game for 30 quid and people would have bought it.

A lot within the professional circuit (yes, I am a nerd and used to play competitively) are harking back to 'boots on the ground' and this reflects in the community. The was shown during the first YouTube trailer which I think has the record amount of dislikes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeF3UTkCoxY

I think that's why they've bundled it in (with the more expensive packages) so they're able to say 'players have both options'.

Should the beta also include MW Remastered? I can't find it.

Remastered come as a separate code for me to redeem in the Playstation store, not sure how it works if you've preordered via the store tho.

Thanks. I did pre order the legacy version from Amazon, who sent me a code to enter in the COD website, which then gave me a code for the PS Store. Maybe I don't qualify for the remastered MW beta?

I was a fan of Black Ops 3 and have been looking forward to Infinite Warfare.

The beta didn't get off to the best of starts with the servers down for prolonged periods, although they seem to be sorted now. Matchmaking is still a bit slow though.

As for the game, it's remarkably similar to BO3, just a bit better i would say. You can still boost jump and wall run, but not as much as BO3. I think IW fked up by showing trailors with the game set in space, which made a lot of people think that you'd be floating around all over the place, but that's simply not the case. Hit detection seems good, gun balance seems good. Time to kill is, i would say, the same as BO3 but i've heard a lot of other saying they think it's faster. The sound effects are very good too.

The maps are still fairly small, which comes with some inevitably dodgy spawns. The pace of the game is high too, with a lot of 'spawn, kill, die' going on, but i've built some decent streaks by playing slower and using the well-placed cover.

I'll be interested to see how it compares to Modern Warfare when that multiplier goes live. I'm expecting to prefer MW, but i just wonder if it might seem a bit old fashioned now.

No doubt there'll be plenty of people saying how awful it is because it's new and different. Add to that, saying 'I like Call of Duty' is about as socially acceptable as saying 'I'm a big Cliff Richard fan' these days. But I think it'll prove to be a popular game in the long run completely undeserving of the mass hatesteria (don't think that's a real word, but it should be) that it was met with on launch.

This will be the first Call Of Duty game that I've missed since the release of Call Of Duty 3. The rest of them, I've slavishly bought on release day but even I must now admit defeat. The quality of the series has ground steadily downwards from the highpoint of WaW. The demise has been hastened by the futuristic setting over the past couple of years. We've had some really st COD games (MW2 and MW3, Ghosts etc etc) but now it seems that they've just given up on even feigning inspiration. The fact that they're making such a big deal of the MW remaster is telling, and it doesn't point to a great deal of confidence in the new game, which looks st. I played a huge amount of MW back in the day. Completing it in veteran including Mile High Club will always be a fond memory but I've no desire to go back.

It feels as though the slow decline of the series has finally gone terminal.

I'm not a fan so far, but then it's new and different from BO3 (which I think is one of the best multi-player CODs).

The aim down the sites in IW is so rapid that you get tagged in pretty much every gun fight. If there's more than one enemy near you, even if they're not very good, you seem likely to get finished off. The margins for error seem much finer. The maps seem really dull compared to the variance and vividness of BO3 - but we've only seen 4 on the Beta. Jumping during a gun fight in BO3 was a good way to buy a bit more time but it seems to make no difference on this game.

Although the one of the best players in the world seems to have figured it out already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB81mOgZOXA
