Afternoon chaps,

Although the PS3 is now an old machine I have GTA but the memory of the console won't allow it to load. Am I right in thinking that I can just take out the old memory and replace it with a bigger unit? It's a slim console if that makes any difference.

Can you not just delete some old stuff? Or is the HDD itself physically too small to contain GTA and all it's install data?

I deleted everything from it, basically a fresh start and still not big enough.

Just to help everyone out a bit more with this can you confirm how much storage is installed in your ps3 atm?

Navigate to Settings, System Settings, System Information.

If you need to replace the hard drive its fairly straight forward just bear in mind the maximum drive you'll be able to fit is 1TB and you need a 2.5" drive. I've fitted the following drive to mine at the start of the year.
